Aaranya’s POV

We were all sitting at the breakfast table, and the butlers were serving the meals.

“Maa sa… mai aur Anya soch rahe the ki ham kahi bahar ghumne jaye.” Yuvraj said softly, yet slightly hesitant.

(Mom, Anya and I were thinking of travelling somewhere.)

No one would say no to him, but there would still be a slight nervousness.

Maa sa giggled “Dekh rahe hai Vijay aapka beta toh ese bol raha jaise mai ise kaatne ko daudungi.” She said, while the rest of the people around the table also began to laugh.

(See Vijay, your son is speaking as if I'll eat him.)

Kaki sa chimed in suddenly, looking interested, “Kaha jane ka plan kar rahe ho dono waise?” She asked, and even I turned to look at Yuvraj as I was also unaware.

(Where are you guys planning to go?)
“It’s a surprise for you all… and especially for Anya.” He declared and tapped his fork on the table like a judge in the court tapping his hammer.

We all looked at him and couldn’t help but laugh.

“We will leave this evening, the bags are packed. Yes, I did all the shopping.” He said in one sentence and then turned to me. “There is a lot to come.” He finished speaking and got up, keeping his cutlery back on his plate as he wiped his hands on a napkin and kissed my forehead.

“I’ll wait for you…” That's all I managed to speak as I was too surprised and a bit overwhelmed to speak.

Aryan and Rudra turned to me, “Bhabhi, jaha bhi jao pleaseee hamare liye acche acche gifts bhi lekar aana.” They said with a pout, and their eyes turned puppy-like.

(Bhbahi, wherever you go, get us nice gifts pleaseee.)

All the family members and I laughed.

“Haan theek hai, agar desert area hua toh mitti, agar mountain hua toh snow aur agar plain area hua toh grass. Woh bhi acchi wali.” I replied, making myself sound extra serious as I pretended to think more.

(Okay, so if it were a desert area, I would bring sand, if mountain, then I'll get snow and if it were a plain area, then grass. That's too nice of you.)

Both of them looked at each other for a second, not realising what I had really spoken, and then they turned back to me with realisation dawning.

“Bhabhi yaarrr…” Rudra whined, looking embarrassed, and Aryan shared the same look, too.

The teasing edge in me softened “Arey, of course I will bring something nice for both of you.” I said while going to the couch where Maa sa and Kaki sa were sitting.

(Of course, I will bring something nice for both of you.)

“Beta itna socho mat, Yuvraj plans the best trips.” Kaki sa said, and I smiled with a nod.

(Kid don’t think much………)

“Pata hai kaki sa… he plans the best dates too,” I replied, looking down with a slight blush.

(I know kaki sa……….)

Maa sa and Kaki sa looked at each other and then turned to me, “Ohhoo jiji see we have a lover girl here.” Kaki sa teased while maa sa nudged my shoulder playfully, “Of course we do.”

I put my face in my palms, trying to hide my blush while they chuckled, way too satisfied with themselves.

Yuvraj’s POV

I checked all the details as I entered the palace.

The guards bowed down as I walked inside.

Anya and all the family were sitting on the couch.

She was wearing a flowy black dress with studs and heels that I had kept for her. Of course, as a part of the surprise.

As soon as her gaze fell on me, she stood up and walked towards me.

“Rajjj… you are here. You know I am so excited. I love surprises,” she squealed and hugged me excitedly.

I laughed and lifted her off her feet.

“I know you love them,” I replied while twirling her and making her stand back on her feet.

She smiled, looking at me and then turned to find all the family looking at us with smiles.

Embarrassment dawned on her along with a deep crimson blush.

Maa sa walked towards us and patted her shoulder gently “Come on, sweetie, we have seen this a lot of times now.” She teased, making her blush deepen.

After a moment of conversation, we finally bid goodbye.

“Bye-bye”, She said excitedly while waving from the car

Everyone waved back with smiles.

And as the palace was out of sight, she turned to me, “Rajjj kaha jaa rahe hai ham?” She asked, looking at me curiously.

(Rajjj, where are we going?)

I pushed back a strand of hair that was falling over her face and leaned in, making her breathe catch slightly “You’ll know…” I replied and turned my gaze back to the steering.

She looked at me for a second, and knowing that it was no use and I won't budge, she began clicking selfies.

Soon we reached the airport and took the path that led to our private jet. White with golden stripes and the Raghuvanshi logo.

We entered with my hand around her waist.

The crew greeted us, and the pilot came to meet us “Rana sa it’s a pleasure that I’ll be some help.” He said, and I nodded politely.

He turned to Anya, “Rani sa, please let us know if you have any problem.” He said while she nodded and replied, “Sure. Thank you.”
The pilot left, leaving us alone again.

She turned to me.

“Kitni der lagegi Raj?” She asked while I looked at her with a smile and took out her books.

(How much more time will it take, Raj?)

“Whoa, this is the new Ana huang series”, She squealed excitedly, and I nodded “Ji rani sa aap bore na ho jaye isliye le aaya tha mai,” I said, and she looked way too much invested in the books.

(Yes, my highness, I brought these for you not to get bored.)

I couldn’t help but feel slightly jealous when she blushed slightly as she read about those love stories.

Like, come on. It won’t be more epic than ours.

And I surely do make her blush harder than this.

I replied to myself, satisfied, and the took out my laptop to work.

A moment later, I felt a slight weight over my shoulder, and as I looked, Anya had fallen asleep.

I kept the laptop aside and picked her up while taking her to the attached bedroom, and I sat beside her just admiring her.

Soon, the air hostess announced that the flight was about to land.

I gently woke up Anya. “Wake up, Jaana. We have reached.” I said, she whined a bit, but eventually got up.

“Go freshen up.” I commanded in a gentle voice, she just nodded and went over to the washroom to do her business.

She came out looking fresh and excited.

The flight landed, and we set our foot out into the cold, blowing wind and yes… it was snowing slightly.

“Raj where are we?” She asked while I pointed at the board placed in the airport.

“Switzerland” She spoke softly, looking genuinely surprised and excited.

“No love, not exactly Switzerland, we are in the Swiss Alps,” I said and gently kissed her cheek.

I took out the jackets that I had already kept and wrapped one around her.

We travelled in a cab to our reservation for two days.

Author’s POV

Aarnaya and Yuvraj were sitting around the bornfire wearing layers of clothes and cute caps, and wrapped around each other.

It was snowing a bit and cold wind was blowing.

They both were busy talking remincing over past memories while enjoying the weather.

“Raj yaad hai aapko jab Lakshay bhai sa ne Hamko pehli baar kiss karte hue dekh liya living room ke corner mai.” She said still laughing at the memory.

(Rajj do you remember when Lakshay bhai sa saw us kiss in the corner of the living room.)

Flash back

It was the Christmas evening and everyone was chilling and talking while Aarnaya and Yuvraj were teasing each other in a corner.

“Come on rajj!!” She said and teased him while peeking out her tongue.

He laughed and pulled her closer till their lips touched.

Just then Lakshay saw them.

“Get away mann!!” He said while pulling yuvraj back with annoyance.

Aaranya looked embarrassed so she just sneaked off from the corner.

“Tune meri behen ko kiss kaise kiya??!!” Lakshay asked while looking furious.

(How did you kiss my sister??)

Yuvraj took a stepped forward shamelessly and leaned in slightly “Aaj a karke dikhau” He said

(Come let me show you)

Laksay stepped back caught off guard “Ewww”

Flashback ends

Yuvraj laughed at the memory “One of a kind he surely was.” He said in between in his laughs.

Aarnaya looked at him with a smile as they began recollecting memories back from schools and the palace.

Yuvraj looked at his watch and then said “Come lets go now you’ll catch a cold.”

Aaranya looked around as if trying to find a way to stay longer but seeing the determined look in his eyes she nodded.

“Okay”
