Author’s POV
Yuvraj turned towards Aaranya, “Finally, we are married!” He said with a smile of a man who had already waited a lot and found his world.
Aaranya smiled and nodded, “Haan!”
(Yes!)
But before she could say anything else, Yuvraj swept her off her feet into the hair cradelling her in his arms like she was a feather.
Aaranya squealed, “Ahh yeh kya kar rahe hai aap?” She said, looking into his eyes with confusion.
(Ahh, what are you doing?)
He continued smiling, “Bridal style utha raha hu baby. Tumne books mai nahi padha?” He said playfully while tapping her nose with his.
(Picking you up bridal style. Haven’t you read this in your books?)
She buried her head in his chest with shyness, slightly nodding.
“Aww mera shy baccha!” He complimented, teasingly making her blush even harder as she hit his chest lightly with her fists.
(Aw, my shy kid.)
Yuvraj carefully carried her up through the stairs to the room, which was decorated with roses and fairy lights, looking like a dream.
Candles were set in the corners, adding a graceful touch to the romantic vibe, and a soft scent lingered in the room.
Yuvraj gently placed Aaranya on the bed.
She looked up at him with a soft smile and suddenly sparked up with boldness. She got up, taking small steps towards him until his back hit the wall.
Her fingers trailed down his neck to the buttons of his sherwani as she unbuttoned them, slowly revealing a part of his well-built chest.
“Kya kar rahi ho Anya?” He asked, his breath hitching slightly.
(What are you doing, Anya?)
Aaranya looked up from his chest to his deep eyes, a small smile of satisfaction lingering on her lips. Before Yuvraj could say anything, she placed her lips on his, while tiptoeing on his feet to meet his height.
Yuvraj was taken aback for a moment, but he let Aaranya lead through as she gently bit on his lower lip and sucked on it.
A small, almost unheard moan escaped Yuvraj’s lips as he inhaled deeply.
Taking the moment, she unwrapped one of her hands from his neck and slowly opened the Tab chocolate tucked in her lehenga.
Without giving him a moment to recover, she pulled back and pushed the chocolate half in between his lips.
He looked confused for a moment and suddenly turned shocked as his gaze fell on the packet she had thrown on the floor.
“Anya yeh…” He tried to argue, but just then Aaranya tiptoed, leaning towards him and took a bite of the chocolate.
(Anya, this…)
Shock was still high on him, but he still swallowed it.
And looking at her boldness, he smirked and turned the tables as he pushed her against the wall and hovered over her.
“Raj… I… I was…” She tried to form words, which felt like an impossible task at the moment.
He slammed his lips against hers, taking control and shushing her.
His hands slid down her knees as he effortlessly picked her up and walked towards the bed.
Aarnaya had also turned slightly normal as she looked flushed; the effect of the chocolate was heavy on both of them.
Just then, a thought came to Yuvraj as he left Aaranya on the bed for a moment before disappearing into the closet.
He came out carrying a diary, which looked old and was made years ago.
He sat down beside Aaranya and opened the diary to almost the centre page.
It had a bucket list made in it dated by the date when they had started dating. It had almost all the works struck off, except the top phrase in the list, ‘Marrying her’
‘Marrying her’
‘Opening a business.’
[And much more………]
He pulled out a pen from the drawer and looked at Aaranya for a moment before striking it off, “Finally… after 10 years.”---------‘Marrying her’
A smile touched Aaranya’s lips, and tears glistened at the edges of Yuvraj’s eyes.
“Finally", The word escaped Aaranya’s mouth effortlessly as if relieved.
The moment slightly shifted back to the earlier intimate moment, the sleeve of her blouse came off.
Probably due to the loose dori when she was taking off her jewellery. Instead of putting her sleeve back to its place, she removed it completely. Slowly. Intimately.
She moved towards Yuvraj, her hands trying to open the buttons of his kurta.
He held both her hands in his, trying to calm her down, and with his intense gaze on her, he asked softly, “Are you sure? We can delay this.”
She shook her head slightly, finally able to open the buttons…….
✨ Rest…. Ikyk…. ✨

Aaranya’s POV
I woke up covered in the sheets and wrapped in his shirt. As I tried to shift my gaze a bit forward and make it clear, I realised I was engulfed in his arms.
“Yuvraj hatiye… Subah ho gayi.” I tried to wake him up and get out of his hold, but he didn’t budge an inch; instead, he just grunted in reluctance.
(Yuvraj, get aside… It's morning already.)
“Just five more minutes.” He said, pulling me closer into his chest.
Finally, five minutes turned into ten and then into fifteen.
“Wake up, Yuvrajjj!!!” I said in panic as my gaze fell on the clock. “Jaldiii!! We have to get ready and go downstairs, also.”
(Fastt!..........)
Yuvraj finally woke up as he stretched his arms with a yawn. I quickly escaped from there towards the washroom, leaving him staring at me.
“Anyaaa!” He said in frustration while I closed the washroom door shut and said, “Nahhh, Raj. Let me come after freshening up.”

Yuvraj’s POV
I was still unsatisfied like a little child, by the way she left me alone, but as soon as my gaze fell on my side table, where her jewels from last night were kept and the corner of our room where the lehenga and sherwani were kept.
My heart soared in satisfaction.
I got married to the love of my life.
To my Anya.
A lingering smell of roses and jasmine from last night was still in the room. As I inhaled it memories from last night rolled back in, making me a little giddy at the thoughts.
Arghh! We became one. In all means.
Just then, Anya came out of the washroom dressed like a goddess.
My goddess.
She was wrapped in a red netted heavy saree, making her look every inch the new bride she was. Her mehendi-clad hands, jewels resting on her body and slight makeup enhanced her look further.
My eye fell on her bare hair partition, and my brows furrowed.
I got up instantly. She looked confused, but without speaking, I picked up the sindoor box from the table and went near her.
I pulled her closer with one arm while putting a stroke of the red vermilion on her hairline and left her not before placing a gentle peck on her forehead.
“Bahot khoobsurat lag rahi hai aap,” I said and walked towards the washroom while picking up the towel on the way.
(You are looking breathtaking.)
She was blushing and smiling softly, but as she saw me leaving, she turned towards me, “Aap nahane jaa rahe hai?” She asked
(You are going to bathe?)
“Haan”, I replied
“Ruk jaiye ek minute.” She said while walking off into the room, leaving me confused as I questioned her, “Par kyu? Anya?”
(But why? Anya?)
She came back with a stool in her hands and placed it in front of the bathroom door, and sat on it “Ab jaiye”
(Now go)
A soft blush, despite my personality, crept onto my neck at her boldness.
“Areyy Anya yaarr!” I tried to argue, but she didn’t budge.
After a moment, she got up from the stool, kicking it slightly backwards, “Mazak kar rahi hu, Chaliye aap jaldi naha ke fresh hokar aa jaiye.” She said, making way for me to enter the washroom.
(I am just joking. Go and freshen up quickly.)
A breath escaped from my throat. I didn’t know I was even holding. Relieved, I entered the washroom to finish my business.
✨
Later, we both went downstairs, where all my family was already settled for Anya’s muh dikhai and pehli rasoi.
Maa sa and Kaki sa were already by the staircase as we descended together.
“Areyy uth gaye baccho.” Maa sa said while taking Aaranya’s hand and pulling her gently towards the couch where the rest of the family was already sitting.
(Woke up, kids.)
Aaranya’s gaze fell on the corner of the couch where Veer bhai was sitting beside Shivika.
Probably, he had come to drop Shivu off.
Anya looked ecstatic as she ran towards the end of the couch.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

Aaranya’s POV
“Bhaiii saaa!!” I perked up as soon as my gaze fell onto Veer bhai sa as I rushed to hug him “Aap yahan?” I asked softly.
(You here?)
He nodded “Haan betu, Mai aaya toh tha Shivi ko yaha chodne par fir socha tumhe tumhara shadi ka gift bhi dete hue jaunga.”
(Yes, kiddo, I came to drop Shivu, but then I thought I would go after giving you your wedding gift.)
A wave of excitement fell over me “Gift?”
He just snapped his fingers as a guard came forward with a key in his hand.
“Beta, these are the keys to the Alwar prison. Be ready tomorrow morning, and I have a surprise for you. I’ll pick you up.” He said as he took the keys from the guard and put them in his pocket.
I nodded excitedly, “Thank you, bhai saa! But what’s so exciting in the prison?” I asked softly.
He just shrugged and winked at me with a look that clearly said ‘You’ll know’
Moments later, he hugged Shivika bhabhi and me one last time and gave her a soft peck on the cheek before taking aashirwad from the elders and heading out.
I was then sitting on the couch beside Yuvraj.
I knew all of them, probably ever since I was born, but the 10-year gap of my absence surely made some awkwardness.
I was a bit scared and nervous about whether I would be able to be the daughter-in-law of their wishes, but all my anxiety was softened as I felt Yuvraj’s reassuring hand over mine.
Papa sa said to him, “Yuvraj ab toh beta shadi bhi ho gayi hai aapki. Ham aur yeh raj gaddi aapko soupne mai der nahi karna chahte. Baba sa ne tareek nikal di agle hafte hi aap ko Udaipur ka Raja ghoshit kar diya jaayega.”
(Yuvraj son, You are now married. I don’t want to delay handing over the throne to you anymore. Father has already decided the date for next week when you will be declared the king.)
A faint smile touched Yuvraj’s face, and pride filled my gaze.
We all were talking for a moment before the palace's main doors opened, and an old woman with two girls who looked like her daughters.
And I am not lying when I say that I literally saw Aryan and Rudra rolling their eyes.
I scooted towards Yuvraj and whispered to him, “Yeh kon hai?” He replied back quickly, “Bua aur unki betiyan Payal aur Trisha.”
(Who is she?)(My father’s sister and her daughters.)
“Par yeh bahot buddhi nahi hai”, I said, trying not to judge, but just couldn’t help the curiosity building up.
(But isn’t she too old?)
He just chuckled slightly, “Haa aur bohot purane khayalo ki bhi hai.”
(Yes, and she is of very old thoughts too.)
I nodded. Before we could speak anymore, her almost fake cheerful voice rang out.
“Areyy khandan ki pehli bahu rani se milwao.” She said while walking towards me.
(Let me meet the family’s first daughter-in-law.)
Dadi sa corrected her instantly, “Shilpa Bahu rani nahi bitiya rani.”
(Shilpa, not daughter-in-law. She is our daughter.)
A wide smile touched my lips at her protective stance and high thoughts despite her age.
[A/n: Maine toh phle hi kaha tha Aru. Gen Z dadi hai hamari.]
The lady’s smirk broke as she still tried to fake her cheerfulness.
“Haa haa maa ji. Bitiya rani.” She said as if the words tasted bitter before adding under her breath, thinking that none of us heard it, “Maine toh kaha hi tha meri Payal se karwa do shadi jab yeh chali gayi thi.”
(Yes, yes, mother. Daughter) (I already said to get Yuvraj married to Payal when she was gone.)
Chacha sa rolled his eyes.
“Shilpa jiji aake baith jao. Kyu hamari Aru ko subah subah dara rahi ho.” He said, making everyone laugh.
(Shilpa, your sister you come and sit. Why are you scaring our kid in the morning.)
Maa sa got up “Aru beta aur Yuvraj chalo tumhari pehli rasoi ka saara saman taiyaar kar diya hai, bas dono mil kar kuch mitha bana do.” She said softly.
(Aru and Yuvraj come with all the things for your pehli rasoi to be prepared. Just make something sweet together.)
We both nodded and followed her into the kitchen, which looked very neat.
As soon as we were in, all the chefs and maids left the kitchen, leaving it just to the three of us.
Maa sa spoke up again, “Beta, the breakfast is already prepared. Just make some halwa or kheer as you please.” She said while caressing my hand, and I nodded, “Ji maa sa”, I replied.
She left the kitchen.
“Haayee Anyaaa”, Yuvraj said playfully while back hugging me. “Mujhe toh yakeen hi nahi ho raha ki tum meri gharwali ho. Meri banni sa.” I smiled
(I can't believe that you are my wife. My partner.)
“Ji Dhani sa! Ab kheer bana le?” I said while getting out of his hold and walking towards the stove, which was decorated with flowers.
(Yes, dear husband! Now let's make the kheer?)
“Jo hukum hone wali hukum rani sa.” He said playfully, bowing down and making me laugh along.
(As the future queen commands.)
“Yaar Raj aap bhi na,” I said while smiling and feigning irritation.
(Raj you!)
“Btao mai kya help karu?” He asked with his chin tucked into her neck. I just shook my head.
(Tell me what help should I do?)
“Aap bas intzaar kariye aur fir taste karke bataiyega ki kaisa bana hai,” I said.
(You just wait and then later tell me how it is.)
30 minutes passed, and the kitchen filled with the warm soothing aroma of the freshly cooked kheer.
I arranged it into small bowls, garnishing each of them with equal love and care.
After I was done, I picked up one bowl and a spoon as I turned towards Yuvraj, who was admiring me like I was the only divine good deed he had in his life.
As I forwarded a spoonful of kheer towards his lip, he shook his head, leaving me in confusion and slight hurt.
“Kya hua?” I asked, but he didn’t answer as he took the spoon from my hands and forwarded it to my lips.
(What happened?)
“Ab mai kaise kuch kha sakta hu jab meri gharwali. Meri Lakshmi. Subah se bhookhi hai.” He said affectionately while wiping some excess off my lips.
(How can I eat anything when my wife. My Lakshmi has been hungry since morning.)
I smiled and took another spoonful towards his lips. This time, he didn’t refuse and calmly took it.
I tried to study his expression, and when I didn’t find it satisfactory, I asked, “Kya hua accha nahi bana?”
(What happened? Isn’t it good?)
He shook his head, “No. no. It's very nice. Just the thing is… It's too sweet.” He said
I looked disappointed with myself. “Accha mai theek karti hu isko koi nahi.” I said while moving back to the stove. Just then, he pulled me close to his chest by my pallu.
(Okay, I’ll correct it now.)
“Areyy jaan… Ab who chammach aapke chashni jaise hotho par jo lagi thi, isliye kheer ki mithas bhi char gunah badh gayi.” He replied
(Love… The spoon touched your honey like lips, that’s why the sweetness of the kheer got four times multiplied.)
I turned back and looked at him with mock irritation, my hands on my sides “So cheesy.”
He shrugged and replied, “Just for you!”
Just then, a voice called us from outside, “Baccho! Mitha ban gaya kya?”
(Kids? Is the desert made?)
It was his dadi sa.
He quickly replied, “Haa Dadi sa bas aa rahe hai.”
(Yes, Grandma, we are just coming.)

Author’s POV
They both came out with Yuvraj carrying the plate of kheer and Aaranya walking beside him.
They went and handed over the kheer one by one to each of the members, but just as they stopped near Yuvraj’s bua and his cousins. His bua pointed a sharp, unimpressed look at Aaranya.
She spoke, “Yeh kya tareeka hai bahu, ghoonghat kon karega. Nayi bahu ho chahe yeh log tumhe beti hi kyu na kahe. Sach toh wahi hai na.” She said harshly, making Aaranya look at all of Yuvraj nervously.
(What way is this? Why haven’t you covered your face? You are a new daughter in a low. Although they say you are like their daughter, you know the truth.)
For once, she didn’t give back a sharp reply.
She tried to pull down her ghoonghat and cover her face.
Yuvraj caught her hand just in time and shook his head while casting a cold look at his bua.
Aryan spoke “Bua sa aap hamari bhabhi sa par buri nazar laga dengi kya jo unhe aapse ghoonghant karna padega.” He said casually, but his words were sharp and lacked the usual humour.
(Bua, would you cast the evil eye on our bhabhi so that she has to cover her face in front of you?)
Shilpa sat there speechless, as she had been questioned over a girl.
She huffed and took the kheer.
They distributed the kheer among the family before going and sitting at the table beside his parents.
“Beta bahot accha bana hai”, His dadi sa said softly, her voice filled with warmth.
(Kiddo its very nice.)
All the other family members agreed and continued eating.
Payal took her second bowl of kheer and cast a look at Aaranya, something between jealousy and hatred as she spoke, “Pata nahi kaisa sa bana diya hai. Itna accha bhi nahi hai jo sab itni taareef kar rahe ho.”
(It's not even that good that you all are praising it so much.)
Yuvraj gave a long, unimpressed look at Payal as he spoke to Rudra, “Rudra, take the bowl from her. I don’t give a f*ck if she didn’t like it. We loved it.” He said confidently, and everyone else agreed with him.
He then added, “Jisko bhi is kheer mai kuch bhi kami lag rahi hai, who abhi uth jaye aur apne liye khana khud bana le.” He said sharply.
(Anyone who doesn’t like the kheer can leave immediately and make their own food.)
Payal got up and left with a huff when she didn’t get the reaction she wanted.
