Author’s POV
Yuvraj, Aaranya, Aaliya and Yudhveer were out in the bazaar to get some things for the functions.
Yuvraj and Aaranaya were completely enchanted by each other, visiting every shop with their hands laced with each other. Yuvarj had his uninjured hand wrapped around Aaranya’s waist possessively.
They were talking and smiling while going through the lists and items.
Meanwhile,
The air between Aaliya and Yudhveer was tense.
Very tense.
Since they had met the previous evening, neither of them was able to think of anything else.
“Yudhveer ji, Aap bataiye shadi ho gayi aapki?” Aaliya asked, unable to stop the swirling thoughts inside her.
(Yudhveer ji, are you married?)
But just as she finished and realised what she had spoken, a light hue of embarrassment spread on her cheeks.
Yudhveer softened, his gaze captured hers directly as he shook his head “Nahi, kal se pehle koi Ladki mujhe itni khas nahi lagi.” He confessed, his voice laced with a teasing edge.
(No, before yesterday, I didn’t liked any one much.)
Aaliya looked confused “Ji? Kal se pehle? Matlab?” She asked, curious to know, and her heart was racing like a runner who had run miles just now.
(What? Before tomorrow? What do you mean?)
He didn’t reply, just glanced at her one last time and turned back with a playful wink which spoke volumes that words cannot convey.
She looked instantly flushed by the way he answered, and her heart soared with relief as he confirmed that he was single.
Yudhveer went towards Yuvraj, and they both started talking like in earlier times when they were in college, away from all the responsibilities and pain life carried.
Aaranya excused herself politely and walked towards Aaliya, where she noticed a commotion had formed. She rushed there faster while the men also came to see what was happening.
“Ohh sundari aaja challti hai kya mere sath.” A rowdy man stopped his bike beside Aaliya. He patted the backseat of his bike and scanned Aaliya’s body from top to bottom in an ill manner.
(Beautiful, come with me)
Aaranya went towards Aaliya, and the two men specially Yudhveer, looked provoked as anger surged through his veins, but before they could say anything, Aaliya said something that made them stop in their tracks.
“Haan theek hai challo.” She said, walking towards the man.
(Okay come lets go.)
The man looked confused and startled by the unusual behaviour “Hein? Kahan?” He asked
(What? Where?)
“Abhi toh tu ne kaha chalne ke liye.” Aaliya said while placing her foot on the stand and leaning a bit closer, yet keeping distance for her own comfort.
(You just asked me to come.)
“Par mai toh aapko ched raha tha.” The man said, trying to prove himself as he tried to run his bike off the street.
(But I was teasing you.)
People had gathered on the street, making videos and looking with wide eyes at the uncommon confidence shown by a girl.
“Toh mai chhid gayi ab. Challo!” She said, pushing herself back from the bike and pushing him lightly with both her hands.
(Ok then I am teased now. Lets go!)
The man looked confused and nervous, but before he could say anything two large hands grabbed his collar and pulled him off the bike.
“Get out of here. Himmat kaise hui teri Aaliya ji ke baare mai esa kehne ke liye bhi.” Yudhveer said and pushed him to the ground with a punch. “Bol na, Bol chup kyu ho gaya. Bol!”
(……….How dare you say anything about Aaliya?) (speak, Speak why are you are quiet now. Speak up!)
Aaliya looked at Yudhveer in shock before trying to pull him up by his arms.
“Bas Yudhveer ji mat maariye usko. Woh mar jaayega!” Aaliya said while trying to pull him, and looked at the half-beaten man to death lying on the ground.
(Yudhveer, stop, don’t beat him anymore. He will die!)
After what felt like eternities but just a few minutes, Yuvraj managed to pull Yudhveer away from the man.
“Stop, Yudhveer. Stop beating this man.” Yuvraj said while handing Yudhveer a bottle of water.
He then turned towards the guards, and with a click of his fingers, he gestured for them take this man away.
Aaliya looked at Yudhveer with gratefulness mixed with something else she didn’t understand at the moment.
“Thank you, Yudhveer ji.” She said softly while he smiled softly despite the earlier violence.

Yuvraj’s POV
Since that incident happened, Aaliya and Yudveer are talking among themselves while I was walking with my hands laced with my Anya.
Just then, I looked around and saw many eyes towards us, and I got really protective.
Possessive nahi hua mai. Bas thoda sa protective. Meri Anya ko mere alawa koi kyu dekhega.
(I didn’t get possessive. I just got a little protective. Why would anyone see my Anya instead of me.)
The what-ifs wandered.
I pulled her away from all the eyes of the public towards the rose garden behind the bazaar area.
I twirled her around and pulled her closer by her waist.
[A/n: Play ‘Nazar na lag Jaaye from Stree movie' for the further scene to enjoy it!!]
Oo..! Goriye..!
Tu kinni Gori hai
Tu zameen pe chand ki chudi hai…
Buri hai badi buri hai
Duniya ki neeyat chhoriye…
While singing, I tucked a hair strand behind her ears and rested my face on her neck so that my breath fell behind her ears.
She turned to look at me, confused, “Raj aap hame yahan kyu lekar aayen hai.”
(Raj, why have you brought me here?)
I didn’t reply with words, instead I continued singing and smiled while standing up straight and looking straight into her eyes.
Nazar na lag jaaye jaanu
Thought ye Ghabraye saanu
Nazar na lag jaaye jaanu
Thought ye ghabraye saanu…
Instead of the earlier confusion that was etched on her face, a deep blush had replaced it as she looked at me with a shy smile, trying to avoid my eye contact.
I cupped her face gently and made her look at me directly, and then rotated my hands around her face as a sigh on removing evil eyes.
She giggled and hugged me tightly.
Oo… Silky Kurti yeh hai
Jo tu pahan ke O
Jo nikli hai O Goriye
Halki si jo Mudti hai
Gum jaaye market chhoriye
Nazar na lag jaaye jaanu
Thought yeh ghabraaye saanu
I was playfully picking her up and twirling her around while pointing towards her pink kurti with beautiful flower prints and a delicate lace border.
I placed her down and pulled her closer by her waist, ensuring that there was no space between me and her.
Oo…
Kaala teeka bana le mujhko
Tujhko baalaon se bacha loon
Hai dhoop yeh zamana
Oas ki boond hai tu
Palkon ki chaaon mai chupa loon
Oo..!
I sang, while my tone dropped slightly into a pace like a complaining child, as I pointed towards her forehead with a pout and then pointed towards the empty fields as if many people were standing there and claimed those people as evil eyes that might catch her.
Goriye ye meri theory hai
Ki ye teri meri lead mai story hai
Sorry ye khud sorry hai
Hai jo beech apne doori ye
I twirled her around and then pulled her back against my chest so that her chest was touching my chest entirely.
I kissed her cheek softly before continuing singing and then slid my hands on her waist, pulling her towards me as we swayed to the song, lost in the romantic glam.
Nazar na lag jaye jaanu
Thought ye tadpaye saanu
Thought yeh tadpaye saanu
Oo..!
With a drop in my tone as I completed singing, I pulled back from her and looked into her eyes. She raised her eyebrows, confused, while I just smirked and suddenly pulled her closer and pecked her lips softly.
After a few minutes, we finally exited the garden.

Author’s POV
Aarnaya and Yuvraj were huddled close as he had his arm wrapped around her waist. He pulled back a little, and sensing the distance, Aaranya turned to look.
“Kya hua?”
(What happened)
He simply shook his head and took a rose out of his pocket which he had plucked earlier and tucked it behind her ear.
It took a minute for Aaranya to process the song, the dance and then now this rose too.
“Nazar utarne ka style kuch jyada hi casual tha aapki.” She said a bit flushed from the earlier actions yet a small teasing smirk was on her lips.
(The way of warding off evil eyes was so casual.)
“Aaaa” She suddenly shouted.
“What happened, Anya? Are you okay?” Yuvraj asked a bit confused but concerned.
“Noo! It's just… It's evening now. We came here in the afternoon.” She said a bit panicked, trying to run out towards the exit.
“Arey arey toh kya ho gaya. Its fine.” Yuvraj said calmly, not affected but amused by her panic.
(Arey arey So what happened…….)
“Pata nahi kya-kya soch rahe honge Aalu aur Yudhveer bhaiya.” She said her panic growing as she tried to rush out of his arms quickly.
(God knows what all must be Aalu and Yudhveer bhaiya be thinking.)
“Sochne do, hame kya!” He said calmly and tightened his grip around her waist while walking slowly towards the gate.
(Then them think, why should be care.)
“Yuvraj aap bhi na---“ She was trying to argue when Yudhveer and Aaliya came in front of them.
(Yuvraj you---)
“Ohh, so here are the lovey dovey people. What were you guys doing there? Hmm Hmm.” Aaliya teased while Yudhveer was standing behind her, a teasing, wide smirk on his face.
“Arey ab toh shadi hone wali hai toh ab toh mithi mithi baate hongi hi na. Haina Aaliya ji.” He said playfully, his hand mischievously tapped on Yuvraj’s shoulder while he looked at Aaliya with a wink
(Oh, they are going to get married soon. So they will do all the sweet talk. Won’t they, Aaliya ji.)
“Bilkul Bilkul” Aaliya agreed to him and pulled Aaranya’s cheek playfully.
(Sure sure)
“Raj ham aate hai. Woh mai kya keh rahi thi na aap bhi chaliye mere sath.” She said and pulled Yuvraj along with her as they rushed out of there, leaving behind the two who were laughing uncontrollably.
(Raj I am just coming.) (On second thought, you also come with me.)
