“Well, learn something from me, you’ll. I feel so old among you guys.” Mahira Pratap Raghuvanshi said while sitting on the head chair of the dining table beside her husband, Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi.
Her white silky strands were shining in the sunlight falling from the long windows near the table.
All the Raghuvanshis and Rajputs gathered for the wedding discussion of Shivika, and Veer laughed, listening to her self-praise.
“Dadi yaar aap toh Gen-Z ho,” Shivika said in a low, teasing voice while trying to contain her giggles, making all the rest of the people burst into another fit of laughter.
(Dadi yaar, you are a Gen-Z)
“Aur nahi toh kya. Tum jaise logo ki tarah thodi hu. Mai self-aware hu.” Mahira proudly said while puffing out her chest, making everyone look at her in amusement, and trying not to laugh again because otherwise she would punish all of them.
(What else, I am not like you people. I am self-aware.)
Everyone nodded, acting really serious and impressed.
The servants began serving breakfast— a large spread of Rajasthani dishes, sweet and spicy, were placed. The aroma made the entire room radiate its fragrance.
Ajay, Yuvraj’s chote papa, walked up from the couch towards the dining space and pushed out his hands from his pockets to pull out a chair to sit down beside Yuvraj.
But before he could pull the chair. Yuvraj held his hand firmly, not allowing him to sit down.
Ajay looked at him with confused eyes, slightly hurt by his actions.
The rest of the two families also looked equally stunned by his action, and instantly, the room was highlighted with dead silence.
Rajveer, Yuvraj’s father’s stern commanding voice broke the silence, “Kya hua, Yuvraj?!”
(What happened, Yuvraj?!)
Just then, Aaranya entered the room with Veer beside her, talking about something and giggling softly.
Veer’s ears were beet red along with the back of his neck. A shy, flustered smile was curved on his face.
The intense environment of the room instantly dropped a bit by the slight echoes of her giggles.
Yuvraj’s eyes softened as his sight landed on the vision standing in front of him in a beautiful mint coloured kurti paired with jeans. The borders of the kurti defined her waist so fun that his hand instinctively raised a bit in the air to trace it before falling back.
The soft chimes of her silver jhumkas and anklets, barely audible yet lingered like lifelines in his heart.
As Yuvraj noticed the slight furrow of her brows, making her look even cuter yet slightly confused. He regained himself out of his daze.
“Chote papa yeh jagah meri hone wali biwi ki hai.” He said softly, his eyes not moving away from Aaranya even for a second.
(Chote papa, this is my wife’s place.)
The younger clan began hooting and whistling at his flirty admission, and the elders adored them like they did when they were kids.
Finally, they had got their cutest and most favourite couple back to home on track.
Ajay, who earlier looked hurt, instantly looked amused and pulled out a chair beside his wife before speaking in a low, teasing voice playfully, “Aaja Aaranya beta, Baith apni jagah par.”
(Come, Aaranya, and sit in your place.)
Aaranya immediately looked down, shy and flustered from all the teasing. All her earlier playful teasing suddenly vanished into thin air.
But she complied with Ajay’s words and slowly walked up to the empty chair beside Yuvraj and sat down.
Yuvraj immediately grinned in victory and tugged the chair closer, making her look up at him and gasp, “What are you doing? Everyone is looking at us…”
He remained unaffected as ever and just shrugged. “So what I want the entire world to see who this Yuvraj Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi belongs to, and they are just family.”
At his flirty statement, Aaranya just looked at him momentarily, speechless by the fact that he just declared her assertiveness on him.
She couldn’t help but smile a bit despite the continuous teasing from all the family members.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Veer, who was earlier flustered, now sat beside Shivika and pulled her closer towards him, making sure no one noticed.
He couldn’t help but grin widely, totally contrasting his usual personality, just because of the declaration of his marriage to the princess he loved.
They both wanted a simple marriage with not a lot of functions, just pure love and rituals binding them together with the threads of eternity.
The elders and the youngsters had also agreed to their decision after a lot of discussions that they would have a simple wedding and a bachelor’s party for the youngsters.
“Bhai sa aap jaisi bhi shaadi karna chahte hai kijiye par golgappe aur momos hone chahiye,” Aaranya said with feigned seriousness that made everyone almost laugh.
(Brother, you can do whatever kind of wedding you want to do, but there should be golgappe and momos.)
Veer nodded and said, “As you wish, Princess.” Making her lips twitch higher.
Soon, everyone dispersed from the palace after the wedding dates were fixed for a week later.
The responsibility of the dresses was handed over to Yuvraj and Aaranya. After a lot of thought by all the family members, as they knew they had been through a lot already, and to mend things, they needed more time of togetherness.

Today, I am just so happy that I can’t even gather my feelings to form words. I would get time to spend with Raj for the whole day.
Though the responsibility of buying dresses for everyone seems tough and tiring, yet I feel too elated just because I get to do it with him.
I sometimes think that, when I didn’t have memories of us anymore, yet he was my ‘sapno ke rajkumar’. And the thought makes me want to giggle like that sixteen-year-old again who used to run into the arms of her Raj at every other thing.
Suddenly, a bike’s honk made me snap out of my daze as I saw Yuvraj sitting on the bike, his helmet on and the black leather jacket he was wearing shining slightly under the bright sky.
His scent always felt welcoming. Both earlier and even now.
He got off the bike and walked towards me, his strides slow. As he reached near me, he opened his arms to embrace me, but closed them instantly as if suddenly reminded of the current situation.
He rubbed the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed.
I sensed his hesitation, and without a second thought, I listened to my heart and wrapped my arms around him.
He was probably taken aback for a moment, but after a few seconds, I felt two familiar, comforting arms wrap around me.
And finally, it felt HOME.
In the arms of MY RAJ.
He buried his face in my neck as if trying to ground his overwhelming emotions. But after a few minutes, he pulled back slightly to look at me, his brows furrowed.
I also looked at him, confused by his sudden action. “Kya hua, Raj?”
(What happened, Raj)
“Ahmm, I don’t know, but you smell like me. Like, are you getting it… Like you have applied my perfume. I always feel that whenever I am near you, since you have returned, I can smell my own scent. My perfume. I thought earlier that maybe it’s just my own scent and I am overthinking… but you are so close and I forgot to apply perfume, but still I can smell it.” He voiced all his thoughts, making Aaranya look at him while trying to keep herself from giggling.
He stopped abruptly, taking in her expressions before continuing again, his brows slightly pulled together in suspicion. “Do you apply my perfume?”
Aaranya immediately looked down while biting her lower lip, as if a little schoolgirl caught guilty while stealing chocolates.
Noticing her sudden change in expression, Yuvraj’s earlier suspicion changed into playful teasing. “Hmm…hmm. Tell me. Do you apply my perfume?”
Aaranya, unable to keep it to herself anymore, nodded before speaking in a low voice, “Yes, when I didn’t remember anything, and I was in Mumbai. There was a perfume bottle packed along, probably mistakenly. I didn’t know it was yours, but it smelled like—” My voice broke due to the immense emotions building inside me as I continued “, HOME”
The teasing in Yuvraj’s voice immediately softened into a chaos of love building more and more in his heart for his Anya.
He suddenly pulled me back into a hug, nuzzling his head in my neck. “Oh my gosh, Anya, I just love you more every passing second. How could you love someone even when you don’t remember them anymore?”
I just smiled as we broke the hug content with the comforting conversation.
After chatting for a few more moments, he mounted back on his bike, and I sat behind him with a bit of distance between us and my hand was loosely clutching his shirt.
He looked back at me and smirked slightly before racing the bike suddenly with a jerk, making me gasp and stumble forward. My hands slipped to his sides as I held him tighter.
He just chuckled, slowing down the bike, delighted with my reaction as he chuckled. The sound is rich, warm and comforting.
Unable to resist, I also giggled along just like old days, but not before slapping his back lightly.

Sneak Peek for Chapter 24
Yuvraj was talking about a funny incident in his company when he felt that Aaranya wasn’t listening anymore.
“So you know what he did—“ He turned towards her, his laughter and words immediately cut short as he saw tears glistening in her eyes as she looked at the view.
Yuvraj’s cheerfulness instantly switched to its concerned mode as he gently cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears gently.
