CHAPTER 15: Takht Aur Tera Naam

Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
Ishq mera bandagi hai meri
Tu meri aarzoo, dua hai meri
Tere bina guzara, ae dil hai mushkil
Tu mera khuda, tu hi dua mein shaamil

Shocked? It would be an absolute understatement. I was beyond surprised when she fed me the cake with her very own hands.

Her hands?

Does that mean she has started recollecting her feelings towards me again? Gosh, I feel like the luckiest man alive.

"Bhai sa aapko baba sa bula rahe hai." Aarush came to my room and informed me. I replied to him with just a curt, almost expressionless nod.

(Brother, Dad is calling you.)

It is not like I don't like my family or something. I love them a lot more than anything else. But I lost my cheerful self with my Anya ten years back. She was the owner of that personality of mine and now only she can return it back to me.

I went towards baba sa's room, opening the door gently and then politely greeting baba sa and maa.

"Yuvraj baithiye, hame aapse kuch baat karni hai." Baba sa told me with a soft expression on his face. I nodded and sat on the chair beside the bed.

(Yuvraj sit, we want to talk to you about something.)

Maa was standing beside me, caressing my hair lovingly and I was melting into her touch enjoying the relaxation.

"Ji kahiye baba sa" I asked him with my voice a little softer as maa sa was still caressing my hair. But something felt off and I could sense it. Baba sa's extreme softness and maa sa's overflowing love.

(Yes speak dad)

It all points towards only one topic.Β

Marriage.Β

I literally rolled my eyes just by the mere thought of it.

"Beta ham dono chahte hai ki ab aap shaadi ke baare mai soche." He spoke the softness still lingering but his voice a lot more serious now. Maa kept stroking my hair and both for them looked at me as if trying to study my reaction.

(Kid we both want that you should think about marriage now.)

"Baba sa parβ€”" I tried to agrue but baba sa cut me off at mid-sentence and spoke firmly.

(But fatherβ€”)

"Par- war kuch nahi Yuvraj. Ab Aaranya bhi laut aayi hai aur aap chahe toh ham Rajendra ko aapka rishta bhej dete hai. Aur ab aapki umar bhi ho gayi hai tohΒ  aapko ab Udaipur ka raja bana diya jaye." Baba sa said in stern tone, looking at me with the expectations of my answer as a nod or a simple 'yes'.

(No if's and but's Yuvraj. Now Aaranya has also came and if you want we can send your proposal to Rajendra. Moreover, you are already of the age to descend the throne.)

But no. I won't marry or descend any throne on the cost of my Anya's happiness. Maybe these are my dreams but for me she matters the most.

"Baba sa woh abhi wapis aayi hai aur ham chahte hai ki sab kuch jaise pehle hone wala tha waise hi ho." I said in a no-nonsense tone and fierce determination and protectiveness burning in my eyes as I continued, "And no throne is more important for me than her. If you guys are so impatient about my marriage then I will gladly step down the line. But nothing will happen on the cost of my Anya and her likes."

(Father she had just returned and I want everything to be like it was going to happen earlier.)

I stepped out of the room, my steps echoing in the empty corridor as I didn't look back or seek any replies or further discussions.

I had made my mind clear, I would make my Anya fall in love with me again.

No matter how much time or patience it takes.

I am ready to give it my all.

Walking out of the palace, I stepped into my car with a beautiful bouquet of red roses for my woman, my Anya, as today it's her first day working as the CEO of ASR Press.

Aaranya walked out of her room in a chic, thigh-length, sleeveless black dress layered over a crisp white shirt, creating a polished and formal look.Β

She looked like commanding every inch of respect and attention from her look and fiery confidence. His look enhanced as she styled it with stunning diamond earrings and a pendant gifted by Yuvraj last night on her birthday. Her makeup was light, yet it made her face glow.

Her face was shining with pure happiness as her dreams were finally taking a huge leap towards reality. Her hair was neatly tied in a ponytail, while she carried a laptop in her hands.

Aaliya, who stayed over last night, came out of the room in a crisp emerald coloured shirt over black pants. She was all set as the COO to accompany Aaranya.

They both went towards Aaranya's brothers and father waiting downstairs, and they handed bouquets of fresh flowers to both of them. Their sweet fragrance quickly spreads all over the room, filling their lungs with freshness.

Rajendra caressed Aaranya's hair and kissed her forehead softly before whispering some sweet words to her. The queue continued as her brothers joined, repeating the same things.

Aaranya's heart filled with gratitude as all these people around her loved her so much. At last, her elder brother, the king, came towards her. His usually commanding expression was now torn under a much softer one, especially reserved just for his sister. He kissed her forehead gently and then, while patting her head, he said, "Baccha, if you have any problem, you don't have to hesitate for even one second. Okay? I am just a phone call away. Call me anytime you need me, and I will be right there. I know my sister has this fire, so prove it, everyone. Show everyone who is AARANYA SINGH RAJPUT."

She smiled, listening to her brother's words, filling her with even more confidence and determination. She had always dreamed of becoming a journalist, owning her own press. And today, all her dreams are going to come true.

Aditya walked ahead of Aaranya and Aaliya, leading them outside the palace towards the car as he insisted on driving them to the press today.

As they just took a step, the door burst open, revealing a man in a three-piece suit with an authoritative fragrance, singing in a soft tone while carrying a bouquet of red roses.

Yuvraj.

As soon as he entered, his eyes looked all around the hall until they fell on his Anya. His breath hitched just like old times as he saw her in that cute yet bold outfit. The lyrics of 'nazm nazm' still spilling as he walked towards her.

Tu nazm nazm sa mere

Honthon pe thehar ja

Main khwab khwaab sa teri

Ankhon mein jaagun re

He started walking towards her, fixing his already perfect blazer in slow, calculated steps. Aaranya's gaze softened as soon as it landed on him. Her heart was thumping loudly so that anyone could hear it.

Tu ishq ishq sa mere

Rooh mein aake bas ja

Jis aur teri shehnaai

Uss orey main bhaagun re

He stood next to her, the rare sight of his warm and gentle smile made her heart melt smoothly as if it were butter.

Haath tham le piya

Karte hain vaada

Ab se tu aarzoo

Tu hi hai irada

He handed her the bouquet and then embraced her tightly in a side hug, making sure of the fact that she didn't get uncomfortable at his touch. Her eyes widened as she felt the sudden yet familiar warmth, a smile spreading over her lips.

The rest of the people standing there looked at them in awe.

She pulled back a little "You know, people give red roses to those they love." She playfully said while teasing him.

But he stood unbothered by her words and replied casually, "Well, they say it right then. I gave to the one I love the most, Anya."

She shyly looked down as colour and heat rose to her face. She muttered something under her breath, reluctant to show her flustered self.

While the rest chuckled, Aditya and Aaliya followed her to the car to go to the press.

Yuvraj's heart was also now at peace as he finally got confirmation that she does like him and he just has to work harder to earn his Anya back.
