CHAPTER 1: Rishton Ki Dor

~●Chapter One●~

------------------------------------------------------

Dil dhadakne do, dil dhadakne do

Is pal ko jeelo, jo hai kal kisne dekha

Zindagi na milegi dobara

Khul ke jiyo, gham ko bhula do

Dil hai chhota sa, chhoti si aasha

Kya pata, kal ho na ho

Aaj mile jo ye pal, kal shayad na mile

Masti mein jeene do, dil dhadakne do

"Baba sa" 8 year old Aaranya called out her father while trying to tie her shoelaces.

"Ji, Hamari rajkumari kahiye." hearing his daughter call her, Rajendra, Aaranya's father rushed towards his princess to see what's the matter.

(Yes, Princess tell me)

"Baba sa, Can you help me tie my shoelaces." She cutely said with a small pout on her face as she was trying to tie the shoelaces but failing again and again.

"Jaisa aapka aadesh rajkumari sahiba."

She chuckled and her dad bent down to her level to tie her shoelaces. After tying her shoelaces he kissed her forehead and took her in his arms.

(As you order dear princess)

She kissed his cheeks and wrapped her arms around his neck, nestled in his arms as if it is the most safest place for her.

"Baba saa I love you!" She said while still resting her head on her father's shoulder.

"Mera Baccha I love you too." He replied and walked towards the dining room where his wife, his father and his four sons and elder daughter were already settled.

(Kiddo, I love you too...)

Rajendra entered with his bundle of joy in his arms while giggling to something she said, which is completely contrasting to his usual behaviour to everyone, even his family. Cold and Formal

Aaranya's brothers exchanged mock-jealous glances pretending that they are really jealous towards this different behaviour of their Father between them and her.

But she clearly knows that her brothers love her like a precious thing which is to be treasured and cherished. They were always their for her whenever someone tried to bully her, or she wanted something.

They loved each other to bits.

Aaranya got out of her father's arm and sat between her elder brother Veer and her father.

"Pranam Dada sa" She politely greeted her Grandfather sitting at the head chair, clearly expecting a similar polite reply in return. But he just ignored her as if she didn't even exist and continued eating his breakfast.

(Greetings, Dada sa)

Tears began to brim in her eyes at this indifference but she brushed it off and turned towards her mother.

"Pranam maa sa" She said while looking at her mother, her eyes holding clear expectations as she wished that she would just reply to her normally as she does to rest of her children.

(Greetings, Maa sa)

Rajeshwari, Aaranya's mother just gave a curt nod, slightly formal and impolite.

Tears that were earlier threatening to fall now freely fell as the indifference from her mother and Grandfather pained her beyond her understanding. Her tiny heart and a small mind couldn't comprehend all these whirlwind of emotions as she let the tears fall.

Her elder brother tightly embraced her protecting her from all these useless thoughts and gently took her out of the dinning hall.

"Veer bhai sa... Ham itne bure hai kya?" Tears pooled in my eyes as I continued sobbing in my brother's protective embrace.

(Veer Bhai sa... Am I this bad?)

"Nahi Aarya esa aapse kisne kaha? Huh! Bataiye hame kiski itni dustaki ki woh aapse esa kahe." He said while caressing my hair and softly kissed my forehead

(No, Aarya Who said that to you? Huh! Tell me who has the guts to say this to you?)

"Bhai sa fir maa sa mujhe Priyal didi jaisa pyaar kyu nahi karti. Ham se kuch galti hui hai kya" I looked into my brother's eyes expecting an answer but he just embraced me tighter letting my tears fall.

(Bhai sa, Then why doesn't Mom love me like Priyal. Did I do something wrong?)

Soon, I stopped crying and one more question invaded my curious mind, So I forgot that I was crying earlier due to something

"Bhai saa" I called him and he loosed his embrace enough to see me.

"Bolo behna" He looked at me with his eyes softened and a smile adorning his face.

(Speak sister)

"Bhai sa abhi jaise Baba sa Raja hai aap bhi banenge kabhi?" I asked him as my mind was filled with curiosity till the brim.

(Bhai sa, Like dad is the king right now. You will also become the king someday?)

"Hmm..." He nodded

"Ohh... Bhai sa hame na yahin par khana hai" I asked him looking at him with puppy dog eyes. Completely aware that he can not resist it.

(Ohh... Bhai sa I want to eat here.)

"Theek hai Aarya aap ruko mai aapke liye khana Lata hu." I nodded, excited about my outing today with my best friend.

(Ok Aarya you wait, I'll bring your food here.)

Rajendra, The king of Alwar was going to meet his best friend Ranvijay Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi, The king of Udaipur.

"Baba sa Ham bhi Chale kya aap ke sath?" 8 year old Aaranya asked to her father with pleading eyes, So, She could also meet her best friend.

(Baba sa, Can I also come along?)

"Theek hai, chaliye Aaru" He nodded and walked out of the place with his daughter in his arms.

After a journey of a few hours, they both reached the entrance of the palace of Udaipur.

The grand iron gate was guarded my many guards with and without weapons. As they saw the car of King of Alwar approach, they rushed towards it and opened the door for the princess and the king.

Rajendra handed the car keys to the guard for valet parking and some other guards opened the door for them.

Soon they entered the grand palace of Udaipur, and Ranvijay was seated on the couch with his younger brother and father. Priyanka, Ranvijay's wife was seated with her mother In law and her sister in law, talking to them about random things.

As they noticed Rajendra's presence in the hall Ranvijay rushed towards him and hugged him tightly.

"Kahan tha mere yaar, Itne din ho gaye mila hi nahi."

He asked removing his hold from Rajendra and scooped up Aaranya in his arms.

(Where were you since so many days, we didn't even met.)

"Aur meri princess kaisi hai" Aaranya giggled and hugged her favourite uncle tightly.

(And how is my princess.)

"Ham acche hai kaka." She replied and he loosened his hold putting her down on the floor.

(I am fine uncle.)

She ran towards Yuvraj, Rudra, Shivika and Aaryan playing nearby. Toys were scattered everywhere.

She stumbled upon a bat and her foot slipped, closed her eyes ready for a face first fall. But It never came she opened my eyes feeling two small arms holding me.

It was Yuvraj.

"Rajjjj I missed you so much." Aaranya came out of his hold and hugged him tightly.

He chuckled at her antics "I missed you too Anya."

They both talked to each other standing there only and all of the others admired them with awe-filled eyes.
